Share a budget

Invite other people to a budget so you can track shared expenses together — useful for households, couples, or anyone splitting costs.

Roles

OwnerFull control — create, edit, delete categories and transactions; manage members
EditorAdd, edit, and delete transactions; view all budget details
ViewerRead-only access — can see everything but can't make changes

Invite someone

  1. 1Go to SettingsUsers.
  2. 2Enter the person's email address and first name.
  3. 3Select the budget and the role you want to give them.
  4. 4Optionally toggle Share savings goals.
  5. 5Click Send invitation.

You need a paid subscription to invite members. During your trial, the invite button is visible but disabled.

Manage pending invitations

Invitations expire after 7 days. Under SettingsUsersPending invitations you can resend or cancel them.

Change a member's role

  1. 1Go to SettingsUsers.
  2. 2Find the member under Budget members.
  3. 3Click the role badge and select a new role.

Remove a member

  1. 1Go to SettingsUsers.
  2. 2Find the member and click the menu.
  3. 3Select Remove member and confirm.

Removed members immediately lose access. Any transactions they added remain.
